After careful consideration of all the options available, Gareth Hewitson-May chose to purchase the Broadcast Pix Slate G5000 when he had his second Outside Broadcast van refurbished.
It has given him a multitude of facilities and the versatility he required to be able to offer the best service possible to his customers. Gareth has been busy since the refurbishment was completed with a variety of work with anything from boxing matches to music concerts at Jersey Live.
One of the features he likes is the ability to be able to have an operator working on the clipstore titling etc. whilst someone else is driving the Vision mixer. The PixButtons unique capacity of showing the tool icon assigned to the source and the name of the active content helps with the smooth running of what may be a hectic workload when working with live broadcast situations.
Another advantage is the better use of staffing, enabling savings to be made in certain circumstances and allowing a more competitive edge to pricing - essential in today's economic climate. This 8 camera capable OB van is available fully crewed or with just the minimum staff. It even has 2 Polecams as part of the standard package, therefore ideal for many events such as live sports, award ceremonies and corporate events.
